Donostia consolidates its position as a hub for congresses and professional events in March

San Sebastian is preparing to host an intense schedule of professional events throughout March, strengthening its position as a leading destination for congresses and specialized fairs. The city will serve as a meeting point for experts in electronic music, welding, education, and nanotechnology, with four major events taking place in their respective fields.

Dantz Network Congress (March 12-15, Kursaal)

From March 12 to 15, the Kursaal will host the first edition of the Dantz Network Congress, an international congress dedicated to electronic and avant-garde music. This event, which will bring together 1,500 participants, will feature over 40 professional activities, including conferences, expert panels, interactive workshops, and innovative sound experiences. The congress aims to foster the creation of collaborative ecosystems and commercial synergies in the electronic music sector, promoting innovation and the exchange of ideas at both national and international levels.

II Welding and Joining Technologies Fair – UNIRE (March 18-19, Ficoba)

Ficoba will host the second edition of UNIRE, Spain’s only fair exclusively dedicated to the value chain of welding and multi-material joining technologies. With an expected attendance of 2,000 professionals, this fair has established itself as a key reference point for the presentation of innovations, the generation of new business relationships, and networking among industry experts.

II USIE Norte Conference (March 27-28, UPV/EHU and Olarain)

On March 27 and 28, the Faculty of Education, Philosophy, and Anthropology at UPV/EHU and Olarain will host the II USIE Norte Conference, organized by the Unión Sindical de Inspectores de Educación (USIE). With 166 participants, these sessions will address disciplinary and incapacitation procedures for teaching professionals, featuring the participation of prominent educational authorities such as Dª. Begoña Pedrosa Lobato, Minister of Education of the Basque Government, at the opening, and D. Xabier Balerdi Iraola, Chief Inspector of the Basque Government’s Department of Education, at the closing.

SPEAR Conference on Spin-Orbitronics & 3rd Orbitronics Workshop – SPIN & ORBIT (March 31 – April 4, UPV/EHU)

From March 31 to April 4, the Faculty of Psychology at UPV/EHU will host the SPEAR Conference on Spin-Orbitronics & 3rd Orbitronics Workshop – SPIN & ORBIT, bringing together 135 international experts in the fields of spintronics and orbitronics. The conference will present the latest advances from the European SPEAR project, while the orbitronics workshop will explore the use of orbital currents as an information carrier.
